450 AND MORE ATTEND SUMMER BBQ AT MAIDSTONE
Over 450 enjoyed a party in the beautiful grounds of Teston Bridge Country Park. It was a sunny day and Gurkhas, together with their wives, families and friends enjoyed a great BBQ and later in the day a curry. The Gurkha Peace Foundation hosted the event and was delighted to welcome friends from the Community Association of Maidstone. Some guests came from all around Maidstone and a few came from Tonbridge.
It was a good opportunity for the Nepalese community to meet local residents and zoloftanxiety make new friends. It is hoped that there will soon be a new regular drop in centre in Maidstone which will offer comprehensive advice and social activity.
A brief speech from the chairman told of the support that the Gurkha Peace Foundation was giving to the most vulnerable and handicapped children in Nepal and the exciting plans to help integrate our two communities here and the hope that we can bring our two countries still closer together.
