About Us

Our Aims

  • The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit by working with the people of the Gurkha community in the UK, who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin, belief or creed, to relieve the needs of such people and to assist them to integrate into society.

In furtherance of this aim the charity has already opened advice centres in Ashford, Kent, and Folkestone, Kent.

  • To promote and support the education of disadvantaged children living in Nepal

(i) by the awarding of scholarships, maintenance allowances and grants tenable at any educational establishment including institutions of higher education

(ii) the awarding of these maintenance allowances or grants will enable disadvantaged children to prepare for entry to any occupation, trade or professions upon leaving their respective educational establishment

  • The relief and assistance of people in any part of the world who are the victims of war, natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe.
  • The promotion of human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights  throughout the world by a variety of means including obtaining redress for victims of human rights abuse, raising awareness of human rights issues, promoting public support for human rights, and eliminating infringement of human rights.
  • The promotion of racial harmony with particular reference to the Gurkha community in the UK for the public benefit by a variety of means including the establishment and maintenance of a cultural centre for the Gurkha people of Nepal.
