Project- Dharan Water Supply
Dharan is a sub-metropolitan city located in Eastern Nepal(with population of 137,705*). The city is affected adversely by the lack of drinking water and has been suffering for more than a decade.
The newly elected Mayor Mr. Harka Sampang has a goal of finding a solution for this concern and initiated the fundraiser to build a holding water tank with the daily capacity of 250,000 litres. There is infrastructure to build the water tank to supply to the whole community, however this has not been possible due to lack of funding.
GPF is working towards the betterment of the community and strongly believes that building the water tank will help the community immensely. Thus, we have started the fundraise to build the water tank to help the community by providing it with clean drinking water.
With the help of the generous community, Gurkha peace foundation has raised £23,000 and continually raised to reach our target of £40,000.
GPF would like to thank everyone for their continued support and appreciate your assistance in our campaigns.
To assist in achieving this common goal, GPF humbly requests the help and support of our community.
