This joint visit, carefully coordinated by the Gurkha Peace Foundation, exemplifies the organisation’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange, supporting elderly veterans, and building bridges between communities. Volunteers ensured the senior citizens were looked after with care and dignity throughout the day, providing transport, assistance, and refreshments.

Following the temple visit, the group travelled to the Gurkha Statue in Whitehall, London, to pay tribute to the valour, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty of the legendary Gurkha soldiers. Located close to the Ministry of Defence, the bronze statue stands as a proud symbol of the Gurkhas’ contributions to the British Armed Forces over the past two hundred years.
