DHARAN, Sunsari, Nepal – The Gurkha Peace Foundation has announced the commencement of a project to construct the Shree Janjagaran Child Development Centre in Dharan, a school dedicated to providing free, high-quality education to disadvantaged, homeless, and squatter children in Dharan, Sunsari.
The initiative aims to offer these children, who often face significant societal challenges, an opportunity to learn and grow with dignity and equal opportunity. The foundation emphasises its commitment to providing a nurturing educational environment.
The estimated cost of the project is NPR 2,500,000 (approximately GBP 15000).
In a statement released this week, the Gurkha Peace Foundation appealed to the public for generous donations and support to ensure the successful completion of the school.
